The Mural Writer, written by LaShelle VanHouten, is a moving memoir about a man who believed he couldn't love, yet was chosen for an amazing purpose to teach us all about love through the art of marquetry.

“This is a true story, a memoir about a peculiar man I came to know in an unusual way, who became my unlikely friend. His grueling voyage through a life that should never have been so difficult prepared him for a purpose so unexpected, so magical, that it led me to mine: telling his story to you.”

"When I first heard what LaShelle had in mind for this book, I knew I had to be involved. Ed's is an incredibly moving story, and The Mural Writer is that unique book that grabs you from the first page and keeps you reading until 3:00 in the morning. Everyone should read it.

LaShelle is a natural storyteller. Somehow she manages to select the perfect events to keep readers hooked. She has wonderful instincts for pacing, and her description is a direct line to the heart. I can't imagine a better person to tell Ed's story, and I can't wait for her next book!
Well done, good and faithful writer!"
